Subject: PUPT: hello


Greetings,
	I have just joined this list as a very green, soon to
be amateur puppeteer. I currently am living in Tupelo,
Mississippi, but have recently met the Squallis
Puppeteers in Louisville, Kentucky (where I am moving
to soon).
	I am a painter and portraitist by trade. But, I am
starting to research puppeteering. This will
definitely be an extension of my love for character
and figurative expression.
	Can anyone recommend literature/audio-visual
resources focusing on the history of puppetry? Also,
where is everyone located? Are you close to me? Coming
through here? Need a reason to?
