What you say is 100% true - and to make it worse - you are forced to decide
how to react to it. Of course you're angry - as any sensitive perceptive
person must be. But apparently you are sufficiently well off so that you
have a computer and a phone line - which puts you in the top 1% of the
world's population.

In any case I think you are doing the right thing - trying to make an
impact. I'm not sure you have picked the most effective approach.

I hope you find closure in  your epiphany.  The movie Hero ends with the key
figure explaining to his son  - "It's all bullshit - you just pick the level
of the bullshit you can live with" - or something to that effect.

For what it's worth - I really do find happiness in my relationship with my
wife and my children. I suspect happiness is what you get when your
attention is directed toward helping someone else.
