Hello,

Are you willing to spare some time to help children in need?  Are your 
critical thinking skills sharp?

Then the Baltimore Urban Debate League could use your help!

The Baltimore Urban Debate League is a non-profit organization funded by the 
Open Society to improve the futures of area high school students.  Our goal 
is to replace weapons with words through the academic activity of policy 
debate.

Local schools will be competing at Fredrick Douglass High School in 
Baltimore on October 14th.

We are in dire need of judges for these debates.

No experience in debate?  That's okay, we will provide you with some initial 
training and encouragement.  You need only have an open mind and the will to 
help students with their critical thinking skills.
