Hi folks
For what it's worth, the Nader forward wasn't 'pamphleteering' on my part--I
passed it on because I found it to be deeply disturbing and worth
discussion. (And even if it were a case of pamphleteering, how is this
different than the other calls to action passed on to this list?) Unless we
are relegating poco issues to very limited time periods and spaces, I fail
to see how this issue could not be relevant for the very reasons others have
suggested in regards to foreign policy, Supreme Court nominations, and for
other reasons not mentioned, such as the candidates' significant oil
investments. I've found the recent discussion thread quite fascinating--it's
always of interest to me to see how others in the field translate theories
into voting practice (that is, for the USians who can vote--& the recent
rulings have ensured that this excludes Puerto Ricans residing in PR!) Liz
