I agree with Nathaniel Cordova that the letter to Nadar is a nasty piece of
fear mongering and political cynicism.  That said, I don't think the list
should be used for political appeals, particularly if they presume an
American audience, which I find insulting to the global perspective taken
on this list.  (I am a US citizen, but I've been working against that kind
of imperialism all my adult life.)
