Subject: English, the Global Language?
This is a very interesting pop-culture take on English language and
globalisation issues, with a subtle nod to poststructuralist thinking, and
written in an accessible style which could be useful for undergrads etc.

What Global Language?
English isn't managing to sweep all else before it -- and if it ever does
become the universal language, many of those who speak it won't understand
one another.
