Subject: the (Belgian) Congo


  Hi All,
    I was wondering if anybody could direct me to a good book, preferably in
English, about the experience of the Congo under Belgian administration. I
am particularly interested in the stories about the excessive -- even,
perhaps, by most colonial standards -- violence that is supposed to have
taken place there.
