Subject: human rights organizations in postcolonial contexts

Hello friends, 

I am thinking on how human rights organizations in non-western/postcolonial/third world (whatever it is) settings are/were formed. Through which discursive practices they looked for a space to survive; what were the challenges they have to confront etc. 

Can someone advise me some substantive readings on these issues?
