Oh, I just remembered another text that might be helpful--edited by Moira
Ferguson, _The Hart Sisters_.  It informs of two colored sisters who were
Christians, married to White men, but in some incidences were ambivalent
toward their late 1700 to early 1800 enslaved brothers and sisters.
