Subject: black theory and psychoanalysis


I am looking for works that discuss the early development of the psyche 
(from birth thru pre-adolescense; e.g., the oedipal and pre-oedipal 
stages, to use these contested terms) from a African-American perspective.  
Most works I have found are clinical or behavorist.  I'm looking for 
works by analysts (other than Fanon).  Please forward citations to me.  
I also welcome questions and comments.  Thank you, in advance.
