Jerry, the response you received is typical of all spoons lists, not just
marx-admin. Subbing is automatic.

Of course Jon will speak for himself, but i think he felt he was
representing the decisions that have been made in a long (very) open
process. In this sense your reaction Jerry is not dis-similar to those
offended by decisions that have been made and now constitute the
structure of your list.

The problem is that many of us did not participate in the invitation to
re-construct the marxism space (which is still in process); and now
it may feel like the decisions were poor (but not unfair).

i do feel that it is not fair on our part to request that all the steps
be re-traced. But i would like to hear from Hans E., or Jon why we need
to dissolve M2?

Again, my feelings are that we should reflect on what we have
accomplished, what we like and dislike about the list, and re-structure
the list around these discussions.

With emphasis i believe it to be a mistake to insist we are merely an
alternative to some other list. This is a black cloud that hangs over
M2, one which we should absent in the re-structuring.

Also, i do not support constraining subscribing to *any* list. This is
much too reactionary, from a very broad mechanism this attempts to do
something more specific. i mean there are people on M1 who are members
of M2 or Jerry's list or both. My participation does not change (nor
anyone else's) when subbed to both lists. If there are really people
intent on damaging this list we can discuss it and deal with it specifically.
