Subject: FATE OF M2



          While everybody is giving 2 cents on the future of  M2:  mostly I
          just read, but I would miss this list more than any other I'm now
          subscribed to; seeing that something is from M2 always recommends
          something, when I'm sorting out what to read  and  what  to trash
          unread.  The discussions are  on  a  higher  level  than  M1,  of
          course, and though it's  a low-volume and small list, that counts
          for something.  If some reasonable majority of subscribers wanted
          it preserved, whether or  not  it  had any explicit rationale for
          existence, it seems worth maintaining.  My $.02 then, no more  no
          less.
