Subject:  anthropology new/used books, Malinowski and Harris


I have now got 

Malinowski 1929 The Sexual Life of Savages

Marvin Harris 1974 Cows, Pigs, Wars and Witches

Both of these had come up in previous conversations, so I finally
acquired them.  The Malinowski is pretty huge, it's his most famous
work, and he's known partly as an "economic anthropologist",
interested in "primitive economics".  CPWW is a small paperback which
I will read soon.  I started it already, and didn't have to go far to
see the familiar gripes I have with Harris' stuff.  

But first I must finish up my study of Marx 1958 PEF [pre-cap econ
form, from Grundrisse].  Just thought I'd let some possibly
interested parties know.
