Subject: M-G: Aldolfo's Stalinism and Feminism!
Joshie writes;
>Her fear points to the climate of straight male cliquishness that has been
>rigidifying Marxism into a "straight guys' identity politics." We can't
>even raise this sort of question without being subjected to an outburst of
>"bourgeois feminist baiting" from the likes of Adolfo. NO WONDER there are
>so few women on this list. NO WONDER intelligent women like Teresa Ebert
>would not stay on this list.
Actually I have been thinking about writting and addressing Aldolfo's
"bougeois feminist" crap vs his Stalinist prolo crap. Unfortunately I have
been working almost around the clock these days with a big cross country ski
race. However the race was yesterday and I hopefully have a little more time
now.
I do not think that Joshie or any other woman on this list need to fear
Aldolfo and his whining. because of his Stalinist Prolo line which is in
fact the reverse side of feminism and just about as dead wrong.
Feminism I characterize in the sense that the feminist analisises society
out of a perspective of gender rather then class. Aldolfo analisises his
Stalinist Prolo line in the sense that anybody who attacks the rotten
political line of the PCP attacks the peasants and proletariat! Thus anybody
that critizes the "great" leader is our enemy.
Just as the feminist say anybody who critizes us is the enemy!
The truth is I think that the future revolutionary International must be
made up of both declassed and desexed cadre who put and analisis of fighting
for and building proletarian dictatorships everywhere as the transitional
stage which can actually change things for the better in marching towards a
communist society.
The point being that the Proletariat led by a revolutionary party is the
only *real* social force that can actually bring about real change for
workers, peasants the urban poor and in this case women who make up about 50%
of the population of both the working class, the peasantry, and the urban poor.
Aldolfo's arguements are in fact dead wrong because he has the Stalinist
Prolo line which when politically cornered leans not on leading the working
class forward to liberation and a communist society by breaking the
generations of bourgeois chains set on them by society. But exactly the
opposite. Aldolfo leans on the most backward bougeois sexist, and macho
world based on the family in order to enforce his and the PCP ideas of politics.
All the god worshipping, and the masses shit is used as a stick to beat on
the heads of the political opposition and if neccessary put them against the
wall.
For Bolsheviks the world is and entirely different situation. We realize
that centuries of bougeois society and repression connect to the age old
rules of institutions like the church, family etc. will not dissappear over
night! But the goal is to understand the process that is going on and
linking it to a political program that will move things in the right direction.
The Stalinists use both sex and class in order to move things in the
direction of the particular line they are following. In Aldolfo's case it is
the "Red Front" period of Stalinism. In others it is the popular front and
class colloration on all levels. Both of these Stalinist lines are dictated
by a party who hardly sees itself as the vanguard of the Proletariat. But a
elitist click who will use poor and working class people more as a mob to
push the present political line of the present "great leader".
If Stalin was the first master of this line. Then the various Stalinists
Chinese Stalinists make a good second. Whether they be the "gang of four" or
the present leadership of the now dead Deng..
So I think that if their are any feminists out their please throw some of
your stuff out. I personally would find it refreshing compared to the back
side of the mirror we have been getting for weeks now from Aldolfo.
Finally, I do not think that the present trend on the left of capitulating
to the feminists is correct. I think a firm struggle and winning the most
militant women to a program of communist work amongst women could be a way
forward. I have no tears for the feminists and especially so called
"Socialist" feminists. However I do have the greatest sympathie for working
class women in the public sector , the cleaning ladies. And when we have a
women,s communist organisation internationally which can devote its time and
efforts to organising these women and struggling along side their class
brothers for the dictatorship of the proletariat everywhere, then things can
really become interesting.
But if the feminist continue along their merry little path it can only lead
to a dead end. Just as the mirror reflection of these politics represented
by the Stalinists has already led to a dead end. Good examples being the
former Soviet Union and China..
Warm Regards
