Thanks for the invitation - I'm terribly overcommitted at the moment, but I
hope to contribute something once the quarter ends (mid-Dec). Part of
Dicours, figure has been translated and published in the Oxford Review (I
believe - I'm going on memory and like Montaigne I have a marvelously
faulty memory) - there's a good chance it was incl in the Lyotard Reader.
However, I seem to recall seeing somewhere (perhaps in a publisher's
catalog - perhaps in one of my fantasies!) that a translation is
forthcoming. It is certainly overdue, altho the sheer difficulty of the
book may account for this gap. I personally found Geoff Bennington's
summary and analysis a very helpful guide (in Writing the Event). I also
recommend David Carroll's work in Paraesthetics.
