When the Lyotard list died, temporarily, I hope, I tried, unsuccessfully, to e-mail Lois. No luck. I put an earlier version of WWA in Lyotard archives, but no one seems to go there either. Poetry was not my intent, as I explained to the critic you quote. I guess a true poet might be more interested in what we might become, less interested in who we are. I keep trying to find a serious student of Lyotard, particularly "Le Differend", which according to the jacket blurb, he considered his most important book. There seems to be a Lyotard industry at UC Irvine, where Lyotard taught, but when I searched on-line, some months ago, couldn't find anything of substance. Mark Bower, who quoted "Just Gaming" posted some interesting ideas on this List to which I responded a few days ago. I've read posts, (one from another list) from two people who have heard Lyotard speak; both made rather disparaging remarks about him. He is supposed to be at Emory, in Georgia, but was not listed on their faculty. In hiding? Seclusion? Composing a profound new work? A mystery! Searching the Web, I have found a lot of interest in Philosophy at Universities in Australia. Maybe you know of someone who has studied "Le Differend". Cheers, Hugh
