David,
That's a pretty wacky answer, and completely irrelevent to my reply, which
showed the assumption behind your question. Did you oppose bringing
Milosevic to justice (the war in Serbia, by the way, was NOT done through
the UN Security Council)? If not, then your question should have focused on
the lives that have been extinguished by Hussein, because what he has done
DWARFS what Milosevic did. Instead of implying that the American media does
not value Iraqi lives, you should have asked how much consideration Hussein
has shown for Iraqi lives.

Or if you want a more "relevant" reply, perhaps you would like me to go
through the Krugman article point by point. Let me give just one example of
how easily refutable his statements are:

"The members of the Bush team don't seem bothered by the enormous ill will
they have generated in the rest of the world. They seem to believe that
other countries will change their minds once they see cheering Iraqis
welcome our troops, or that our bombs will shock and awe the whole world
(not just the Iraqis) or that what the world thinks doesn't matter."

I guess for Krugman, "the world" does not include the following 24
countries:

Spain, Italy, Portugal, Britain, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Hungary,
Poland, Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia,
Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar, Japan,
Australia.

Let me give you some perspective on how large the current coalition is. Do
you know what the three largest military coalitions ever assembled are? The
largest was the WWII coalition. The second largest was the coalition in the
first Gulf War. The third largest is the current one.

Proportion, David.
