Subject: Time is temporal!


Die Zeit ist Zeitlich!   Heidegger claims on p.21 of "The Concept of 
Time" ( lecture to the Marburg Theologians in 1924) that this is not 
a tautology, but rather" the most authentic determination. . .because 
the Being of temporality signifies non-identical actuality" (wiel das 
Sein der Zeitlichkeit ungleiche Wirklichkeit bedeutet).

I need some help in parsing the movement of the language here. 
"Bedeutet" seems to parallel "authentic determination"(eigentlichste 
Bestimmung), suggesting that figuring/thinking out the meaning of 
"non-identical actuality" holds the key to understanding authentic 
temporality, that non-identical actuality leads the way (by giving 
its meaning to be thought) to authentic temporality.  This is meaning 
of a determinative sort, which seems to be the case with certain key 
terms in Greek and in German.  That is,Heidegger gives to certain 
words the authority to speak in a guiding way, if one orients oneself 
"correctly," that is in the right direction  (Richtung) towards the 
way from which these terms come.
Once again, Heidegger turns out to be a master Kabbalist, finding 
Being in the basic movement which inheres in the "key words" of world 
presented as text.

And then all this movement culminates in what seems to be  a 
perfectly crafted ambiguity :"ungleiche Wirklichkeit.:  The 
possibility of Wiederholung ( retrieval or , following Kierkegaard, 
repetition) emerges through the gift of an actuality, defined as 
such,(formally indicated?) by an identity yet to be formed, but 
none-the-less THERE.
