Subject: disclosedness


In response to Kevin's recent post on disclosedness, perhaps we could make 
this simpler by returning to Heidegger's interest in 'destructing' existing 
metaphysical distinctions.  In this case, the phrase Dasein is (or is as) 
its disclosedness, may simply be a pointing towards and a destructing of the 
metaphysical view of human being that separates the 'in here' from the 'out 
there'; if Dasein stands ek-statically, it is "the there" (Da-sein) as the 
clearing, such that it 'is', that is,  understands itself 'as' (or in terms 
of), those things and others with-which it is in-volved.  Thus, as you say, 
Dasein comes to understand itself ("reveals itself") as the being who exists 
as (and in) the out there and does not simply interpret the out there form 
somewhere in here.

I said this would be simpler, sorry.
