Subject: HAB: #6 for "the public"


The official announcement banning the Falun Gong group as carried by
China's official state news agency Xinhua: 

The People's Republic of China Ministry of Civil Affairs decided on 22
July 1999 that the Falun Dafa Institute, and the Falun Gong
organisation under its manipulation, is an unlawful organisation that
has to be outlawed. 

The following announcement is made in accordance with that decision: 

1.	No-one may hang or post in any place streamers, pictures, insignias
or other signs that advertise Falun Dafa (Falun Gong).

2.	No-one may distribute in any place books, magazines, audio and video
products, and any other propaganda materials that advertise Falun Dafa
(Falun Gong).

3.	No-one may assemble in any place people for promoting Falun Dafa
(Falun Gong) activities, such as "synthesizing energy" or "fostering
the Falun law."

4.	Activities, such as assemblies, parades, and demonstrations held in
the form of sitting in and submitting petitions, for the purpose of
protecting and advertising Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) are prohibited.

5.	All forms of activities of inciting the public to disturb social
order through fabricating and distorting facts, or spreading rumours
deliberately, are prohibited.

6.	No-one may organize, link up, and command activities of contesting
relevant government decisions. 

Those whose acts of violating the above rules constitute a crime shall
be held accountable for their crime; and if their acts do not
constitute a crime, they shall be disciplined or punished according to
the law.
