Well, my German isn't good, but I did think I'd found myself in
disagreement with Habermas at the time, and still do.  Anyway, my comments
(see archive 14 June 1999 and a couple of follow ups up to 7 July), did not
excite meaningful discourse here (certainly not in the Habermasian sense -
the dissentor was summarily pronounced an ideologue, and that was that) and
the whole outrage has left me none the wiser.

Just setting the record straight.
