I haven't yet downloaded Tim or any of the other posts for reading, but 
I wanted to let Tim know that I thought his paper went very well.  In 
particular, his use of the 1M, 2E, etc. categories I thought was lucid 
and effective and it emboldened me to think that one day I could sort 
this stuff out too!  I'm sure also that the basic idea I picked up -- 
that the debate between Block and Lucas really consisted in an emphasis 
in the one case on 1M and in the other on 2E (is that approximately 
right?) -- could be extended to other controversies in the marxist tradition.
