KARL: Unlike you I am against dialectical materailism. For me, a
marxist, marxism correctly confines itself to a materialist
conception of history not a dialectical conception of reality or
being.

The latter is a religion or theology that claims to have the 
absolutist ability to comprehned all realtiy. In contradistinction to 
this, the materialist conception modestly confines itself to understanding 
history rather than all reality. It claims that history is 
dialectical  but does claim to have the competence to make the absolutist 
statement that all reality or being is dialectical.
