Subject: Re: AUT: The term "left-wing"
Peter Jovanovic: "Floyce i had a quick skim thorugh
your 'alphabet soup' article and i didn't notice much
proof that trots are petty-bourgeois."
Petty-bourgeois movements struggle to increase the
political and social power of small capitalists. All
of the groups are petty-bourgeois that advocate the
continuance of wage labor after a workers' revolution.
Certainly the method of "leaders" and "followers" is
a good indicator of petty-bourgeois orientation, such
as the use of the dogmas of "Trotsky-ism" or of
"Marx-ism."
Harald Beyer-Arnesen: "The problem with the term
["left"] lies in it being used as if it was
self-evident what it meant. . . . More times I
probably avoid using it. . . . It is the substance of
what one has to say that counts the most in all
circumstances.
Agreed. As with any euphemism, "left" can only be
used to deceive or as a term of derision.
