Just to be difficult, I would agree with this, although I would say that the
entire spectrum of such people has not been proled yet and that a new petty
bourgeosie has been created out of those years (extensive layers of lower
and middle management, speculators, government bureaucrats from the Welfare
State programs of the 1960's etc.), part of which has been under attack
since the 1980's.
