my point was more about how it's so easy for western
media always paints the arabs and islam as this
bizarre 'other.' like these acts are bad but 'OH MY
GOD IT'S SOOO HARSH BCAUSE IT'S ISLAM.' these writers
should shut the fuck up write their articles and
accept the fact that it's dehumanizing for anyone.
period. not moreso because they're muslims. there's
not a person on this list who wouldn't feel
dehumanized and humiliated after going through what
they went through. but as usual the focus has to say
it's worse because their faith is islam and they're
arabs. so a christian wouldn't be dehumanized by it? a
jew would love simulating oral sex on another man for
the camera?  

ooops they're muslims. ooops they're arabs. ppl are
not ppl in that article. they're categories of
religious severity. they are other.
