that was not my point. my point was how they made it
seem like the torture was somehow worse because they
were muslims. how muslims and arabs are somehow other
and will feel a broomstick up their ass differently
than a jew or christian. the fact that they're humans
seemed to matter less to the reporter than the fact
that they are muslims and it's somehow worse.

i know why religion is used to pigeonhole them. it
makes them other and somehow easier to kill and take
their resources from. that's as old as colonialism.
