Hey, all. I resurface yet again; fatherhood has been keeping my keyboard time down to purely work purposes for the past few months.

I've breathed new life into the weblog I've been running (or, prior to last week, more like walking). The Dot.Communist (www.dendro.com/dotcommunist/ ) is walking its way toward more and more radical content mixed with tech industry garbage to keep the mainstream coming (my comments on the XML software industry got me linked to by the ever-popular Scripting News, the meta-weblog).

So, the other day I was in New York, and my coworker (who used to do video production work with Richard Belzer) hauls me over to the set of Law & Order Special Victims Unit. Before I know it, I'm sitting next to Ice T in a black SUV weaving through uptown Manhattan traffic. And I just couldn't cough out the question I so wanted to ask him: "So, Ice, how do you handle the irony of YOU playing a cop after singing 'Cop Killer'?"

But I'm sure I'll get it out next time. :)
