Subject: [Puptcrit] Ronnie Burkett's new show

Hi Critters,
My wife, Elise, and I just returned from the frozen tundra of Ottawa,
Ontario, where we witnessed another masterful performance by Ronnie Burkett.
His new show, Billy Twinkle: Requiem For A Golden Boy, is stunning and amazing.
We are fortunate to have Ronnie as one of our close friends, and we never
cease to marvel at his dedication to our art form.
His next stop after Ottawa is Vancouver. Anyone on the west coast
should make every attempt to get there to see a true master perform. I know
several west coast puppeteers who are planning just that.
It takes a lot to get us from the sweltering heat and humidity of
Florida to the frozen north. I would estimate that the temperature swing was
several hundred degrees, but seeing Ronnie perform and then going out for drinks
warmed the cockles of our hearts.
The National Arts Theater in Ottawa is beautiful, and the 500 seat
Studio Theatre where Ronnie performed was a nearly perfect setting for his show.
We have returned to NY, where fortunately, I have some library shows.
Ronnie has once again inspired me to continue on my quest.
     Bob Nathanson
