When traveling, I often wonder how I ever did without one. When I attended the O'Neill conference earlier this year, my driver who was taking me back to the airport wasn't quite sure which way to go on a certain road -- and we didn't have a map. So I launched the GPS on my iphone and instantly was able to know the correct route. It's also great to be able to correspond with clients via email. I'm sure lots of other phones can do this, not endorsing any particular brand per se.
