Mathieu, thanks for turning me on to the Tim Burton toys. If I had
known about them when I was animating for the studios, I probably
would have bought some for my cube.

Thanks for the design critique -- I like the way you worded it. Can I
quote you?

It's valuable to hear that LovBun is "definitely different", since
after creating the character 9 years ago, it can still be a unique
and valuable contribution. (Otherwise, what's the point? )

I agree that there will be adults who will buy LovBun based on it
being "freaky" -- satisfying a need for freakiness. What does that
say about me, as the creator of the character? Am I one of the
freaks? : ) Seriously, I have noticed throughout my life that if
others are doing a certain thing, my tendency will be to do something
different. The flipside is -- I'm actually very conservative! What a
combo. But the freakiness of my work definitely "outshines" the
conservative inner me.

Also - It's very interesting to me that kids have no "mental
disconnect" with the character. They just see LovBun and recognize it
as a character that means love. Which was my actual intention. It is
only a side benefit that adults may think the toy is freaky. In my
opinion, the best of both worlds.
