Cracker Barrel has insane portion sizes that force us to waste food. The taste isn't that great, but at least what I got was edible. I liked the concept of the place, barn-like with antiques. I really appreciated when we took the time to find a real diner or restaurant, but of course, sometimes we had no time. It is part of the job. So next time I'm on a tour, I'll recommend we bring some meals in a cooler (sandwiches and salads and such). More than a few times, especially when skipping breakfast, I was glad I made sure I brought snacks. That tour made me discover smoked salmon-and-cream-cheese sandwiches. I had my first one from a sandwich place downtown in South Orange, NJ, right before we were to perform (I think) our last show of the tour, at the Baird. That's where we got to meet Steven Hollow. fun, but too short. I wish we'll get to really chat some other time. To me, the fun part of touring is all about discovery! And change of lifestyle, at least for a while. I used to think I was a hardcore sedentary. That was just an excuse I gave myself to have less temptation to hit the road. Now I know I love travelling. I'd make it my main lifestyle, at least for a few years, given the opportunity. _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org Admin interface: http://lists.puptcrit.org/mailman/listinfo/puptcrit Archives: http://www.driftline.org
