To answer your questions: I never stop for fast food (maybe a salad every now & then) and broke myself of the habit of drinking soda. I have never unloaded my puppets into a motel room, but always carry in my amplifier and the case with my cords, CD player, etc. I also never stay at a cheap motel. They're too depressing. However, I use Priceline which usually gets me into a much better hotel for the same price. My only pet peeve - if discount hotels can offer free wifi & free breakfasts, why can't the higher priced ones? I have no signs on my van (Caravan) and have tinted windows. I use cruise control (besides, speeding uses up more gas). I never sleep in my vehicle. I have Sirius/XM radio and that makes a tremendous difference. No stations fading in & out as I drive and hardly any commercials. By now I've learned the traffic patterns of so many large cities, that I can schedule my driving times accordingly (or try anyway). I sound like a truckdriver! I wish I had a chauffeur. Yesterday I drove to Albany, NY & today it's off to East Orange, NJ. See you on the road!
