Our Spring 2008<http://www.sandglasstheater.org/calendar/home_season.html> Home Season brings you four weekends of the Voices of Community Series and Richard 3.5: Light Ruminations on Murder for two weekends in June . By presenting the work of our colleagues we fulfill our mission to connect our community with many cultures and nationalities through the event of theater. Since opening our doors in 1996, we have presented over 50 guest puppeteers, musicians, comedians, literary artists and theater artists. Artistic Statement In the microcosm of theater, the puppet is a means of integrating, of pulling back together pieces torn apart from each other. The puppet is the embodiment of a world no longer ours, an abstraction of a memory, a dream which is recalled. It is other than us, but it lives through us. We grasp it, and in grasping it, it takes hold of us. In dancing with the puppet, we are dancing with our more secret side. We are integrating parts of ourselves. =8BSandglass Theater On Dec 2, 2008, at 7:18 AM, EM Martin wrote: >Thanks to everyone who replied to my question!
