Members of PofA may borrow them On the store site if you search "Phillip Genty" you will come up with 2 items 1. A black and white documentary about "Expedition Alexandre" the name of Gernty's around the world tour. 2. The Jim Henson World of Puppetry series (1985) did an hour on Genty 3if you do search for "Blue Like an Orange" you will see the Store has it. It has been many years since I have seen it but it made a huge impression. As I remember it was the first film that let us see excellent examples of international folk traditions, as well as some modern puppetry. I dont remember that it had a great deal of Genty's own work The program for the PofA national festival for 1965 in Detroit lists a performance by Expedition Alexandre "Les Farfadets" (adults only) When I was co-artistic director of the national festival in Tampa 2001, I looked into bringing Phillipe Genty to the festival, but the cost was enormous. The package I received had a copy the tech needs and light plot. FORMIDABLE!! "Ah Oui Genty" played the Bijou Theater on Broadway in the April 9-May 3, 1981 (Mumenshanz began at the same theatre in 1977) Steve On Fri, Dec 12, 2008 at 6:22 PM, <puppetpro-AT-aol.com> wrote: > I believe the Renault that he drove on that trip had clocked the highest > miles of any car (at the time).
