I tried to remove an old felt wig from a figure and had to shave it off with a razorblade. When I string a figure, I usually "Rough" it out first and move on to the next so the glue gets a chance to dry. The thing I like about SOBO is that it's super tacky when wet, dries clear and has virtually no shine which is great for string. It's something that I have always used and never looked around for an alternative. I'll give the Fray Away a try if I can find it.
