Mark,

Depending on how much time you have on your hands and what sort of product you're looking for, I might stick with 2d if I were you.

If you have some drawing skills, you can make a pretty decent looking product in Flash with a few afternoons of training, but 3d has a much higher learning curve. Depending on what program you're using and how much of a techie you are, you likely won't have anything you'd want to look at for months in 3d.

Just my 2cents, Flash is a great program and well worth learning for a number of applications,
