But given some of the directions that the www has evolved (such as rampant growth of commercialization & misinformation), the participatory and egalitarian motivations & goals are difficult to realize. As far as improvements, having been drawn to the page by puptcrit. I wanted to make some minor additions. Specifically the addition of a few prominent names that everyone on this list are probably familiar with. So I hit the "[edit]". Then I was faced with having to learn/master "wikitext". One of the reasons I use a Mac is because I have never been much able to function well within in any sort of digital language or HTML or code/language environment. I have friends who are very wiki conversant and very mush advocates of it. But I find the very process counter intuitive and extremely time consuming and tedious. Perhaps there is a wiki expert among us? mjm On Jan 22, 2006, at 5:14 PM, malgosia askanas wrote: > My thought was very simple: the articles are atrocious > (irrespective of whether you or I have any time or desire to rewrite > them), > and it is possible that some puppetcritters may consider it worthwhile > to > improve them.
