From: steve.devos-AT-krokodile.com Date: Tue, 31 Jul 2001 11:31:11 +0100 Subject: psychology All Psychology is the study of the mind, the study of behavior or the study of the human interacting with social and physical environment. The attempts to conflate theraputic methods e.g. psychoanalysis with comparative psychology or evolutionary psychology are doomed to failure because the underlying theories are so different. The definition that one prefers has theoretical and methodological consequences. From other emails it should be clear that the assumption of therapy has been made - therapy is a minor activitiy in psychology and in most fields of psychological study it has no relationship at all. regards sdv
